Introduction
The Magnum is a light, short-range (350m) energy weapon. It can be purchased from the store for 3,750 WP.
Due to its high accuracy, excellent damage, rate of fire, and continuous fire, it is an extremely popular light weapon. It can be particularly useful on the map Dead City and other close combat maps.
The Magnum seems to be most closely comparable to the Punisher. While they are both popular short-range weapons, the Magnum has several advantages. The Punisher, while having higher cycle DPS and longer range, suffers from bullet spread, reducing its damage at longer ranges, while the Magnum does the same amount of damage at 100m as it does at 350m. Plus, the Punisher needs to be reloaded, taking 10 seconds.
The Magnum does not have to reload and can fire continuously at one bolt per 0.5 seconds. Being an energy weapon, it ignores Carnage, Fujin, and Ancile shielding.
