Introduction[]
The Hades is a medium robot with 1 heavy and 2 light hardpoints. This robot is one of three in the Greek Pantheon faction, the other two being the Ares and the Nemesis.
Ability[]
Hades' ability is named Retribution. Upon activation Hades deploys an impenetrable Absorption shield (blocks all damage types with the exception of the Mercury's Helldive, Hellburner's Overload, Kid Stove , and Arthur Blast Wave) and brings out its built-in kinetic gun. During the first half of the 6 second duration its shield can absorb damage to increase its built-in weapons' damage output by 45% of the damage the shield takes (for example, 1,000 damage absorbed will increase the Retribution damage by 450). The overall Retribution damage can be increased by up to 100% (double), allowing it to inflict a lot of damage within a short period of time. While the ability is active Hades's movement speed is decreased by 20%.
Strategy[]
With one heavy, two light weapon hardpoints and its built-in "Retribution" gun the Hades is effective at mid-range, skirmishing, and close-in engagement. The built in weapon fires 3 kinetic projectiles at a range of 500 meters, each one dealing huge damage based on the amount of incoming projectiles absorbed by its shield. Since the Hades' cooldown is relatively short it is harder for enemy bots to sneak up on it before the Hades activates its shield again unless you are a dash bot or can time your jump / flight to land close to the Hades and bypass the shield.
The Hades is decent at corner shooting, has more hit points than the Ares, has a quicker cool down period than the Ares for its shield, and a longer shield duration than the Nemesis, meaning it is a versatile bot that can fill multiple roles. It is recommended to absorb as much damage as possible with its Absorber shield before unloading on the enemy with a fully-charged weapon. By doing this regularly you can deal severe damage to the enemy from a safe distance away.
Hades has a disadvantage compared to the other Pantheon robots: the delay between its attacks is quite long. Nemesis unloads all of its rockets in one salvo, whereas Ares has a rapid fire unload. However, the Hades fires in a similar timing as Trident, usually guaranteeing one out of the three shots to not hit an enemy. Furthermore, due to its large damage pool being spread over a mere three shots, a Hades pilot will want to see the last hit land, and may end up exposing themselves to enemy fire by not moving behind cover as soon as the ability ends.
Also, due to the kinetic nature of Hades' autocannon, it cannot bypass any shielding unlike the other two Pantheon robots.
Note: The Limited Edition "Imperial" Hades is further enhanced by a +10% Armor boost.
Possible Setups[]
These are the recommended setups for the Hades:
Note: When "Opt." is next to a slot type, it refers to one of the multiple options that can be used in combination with the other weapon(s) slot type(s).
Each slot type is filled with only one particular weapon. For example, if a robot has 3 light all three of those slots are filled with Pinatas, as mixing weapons of the same slot type is usually not advisable.
However, utility weapons can be effectively mixed with standard weaponry, for example the Halo (a root weapon) could be used on one light slot, and a Gust on another. This is because weapons such as the Halo give up firepower for the utility of locking down enemies.

Trivia[]
- The Hades somewhat resembles the Vityaz in terms of firepower, health and size.
- Its original testing texture, now restored in the form of the Commando paint job, is also extremely similar to the Vityaz's default paintjob.
- It takes 30 Days & 58.2 Million Silver to acquire (Using all 6 slots producing packs of 170, which take 3 days).
- The 'gun' on Hades' back vibrates while the Absorber shield is active. Combined with the fact that the bullets travel a bit faster than other kinetic guns, the Hades' kinetic gun may be a unique type and model.
- The projectile of Hades' gun flies a little bit faster than traditional bullet weapons.
- Hades' gun was somewhat ineffective against fast-moving targets at ranges above 450m, this was fixed in later updates.
- In a War Robots 5th Anniversary Video, it featured Hades without its standard paint job. This was later revealed to be the Imperal Hades.
- The Commando paint job that can be unlocked in Operation: Raging Typhoon is the paint job that Hades first appeared on the Test Server with before being redesigned with its current standard paint job.
- Since Update 6.6, Hades' built-in cannon can fire through some scenery if one hugs it at a certain angle, this is due to a longer barrel of the gun and unlike other weapons, its projectile does not get blocked if its gun barrel is inside a wall.
- This robot was added on November 27, 2018.
- Hades is named after the ancient Greek god of the dead and the king of the underworld.
