The Ember is a heavy special weapon. It was released in version 3.2.0.

This flamethrower is a special weapon because it‘s the only weapon that can bypass both built-in or mounted Anciles and physical shields (Ecus). The Ember also damages physical shields. This is a dangerous weapon due to it's very high DPS and the fact that it's flames act as both explosive (splash) and plasma (energy) projectiles.

To purchase the Ember, you must first acquire 10,000 Ember components, and then you may trade them in to acquire this weapon from your storage, which you can access from the Black Market screen.

A good place to mount this weapon is on the Carnage, Raijin, Fury, or the Inquisitor. It is not uncommon for players to mount an Ember or two on other robots with heavy hardpoints. The Carnage can utilize the Ember well, using the Rush ability to quickly get into the 350 meter range of the Ember. The Raijin receives a 30% damage increase when using the Bastion ability, allowing it to have the firepower of 2.6 Embers, along with a physical shield, but at the cost of being stationary. The Fury can wield 3 of them for tremendous firepower. The Inquisitor can utilize the weapon with the Descend ability to quickly take out opponents without fear of retaliation. Lastly, using 4 Embers on the Butch is not advised as the cooldown time of the Quick Draw ability is twice as long as the unload time of the Ember.
