Introduction
The Ember is a close-range (up to 350 meters) heavy special weapon. It is the heavy version of the Blaze and Igniter.
Strategy
The Ember has 350 meters range, with a 5-second reload time and the ability to bypass all types of shielding (except Aegis and Absorber), and has very high DPS for a heavy weapon.
However, the Ember shares the same weakness as Igniter and Blaze: These weapons are relatively ineffective against fast-moving targets, due to their slow projectile speed. On the other hand, a strength of flame weapons is the ability to bypass most types of shielding, which makes this weapon effective against almost all robots (except Aegis/Absorber shield robots), with or without any form of shielding.
The Ember can be paired up with an Blaze or Igniter for a setup that deals large amounts of damage at point-blank range, regardless of whether the target is shielded or not.
The Ember is devastating towards the Ancilot (Lancelot with Ancile) due to it penetrating its main advantage - heavy shielding. Any bot loaded full with Blaze, Igniters and/or Embers will usually take down an Ancilot extremely quickly (despite its huge health pool). However, by the time the player manages to get an Ember, they would be in the middle leagues, where the Ancilot is obsolete.
Robots using the Ember should be wary of the Erebus, due to the bot's ability to Suppress the target and then providing shielding for robots like the Crisis, which dominate in firepower but not health. If this happens, the commander should retreat immediately.
The Ember can be paired with lockdown weapons such as the Glory or Magnetar to help offset its weakness in slow projectile speed - a commander can immobilize targets for maximum effectiveness of the flamethrower weapons.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- The special attribute allows penetration of both physical and energy barriers
- High damage when within range
- Short reload
- Extremely good at sustained combat
- Large damage overall
Cons
- 350-meter maximum range makes it hard to start fighting
- Slow projectile speed means it is easily evaded
- Needs to empty entire clip in order to reload

Trivia
- The Mechanism on the bottom of Ember is most likely a pilot flame, used to light the main output of the flamethrower.
- An ember is a tiny, glowing piece of ash rising from a fire.
- The Ember is the only weapon that does not have a reload animation
- It takes players 17 days, 22 hours, and 30.75 million silver to obtain this weapon (creating packs of 400 with all 6 slots active)
- Only this weapon, the Igniter, Blaze, Scald, Scorcher, Incinerator, Toxin, Venom, Bane, Cudgel, Mace, Hammer, Ksiphos, Labrys and Cestus can bypass both Ancile and Physical shields. From Pixonic they are considered as special weapons.
- The Blaze, Igniter, Ember, Toxin, Venom, Bane, Evora and Veyron have the lowest shot interval (highest rate of fire) in the game.
- This, Blaze, and the Igniter are named after things that are fire-based.
